I was thrilled with Dixie’s third placing in the Tramway at Randwick on the first day of spring. You would have to consider her a bit unlucky – getting that bad knock on the turn didn’t help. I think she might have nearly won had it not happened because it really knocked her sideways and she lost good ground and was only beaten a short neck.
Her run was excellent.
